The Passenger Car Association stated that since 2021, the resilience of China's automobile industry chain has been fully demonstrated, and China's automobile export market has achieved growth in the past three years. In 2021, China's automobile exports were 2.19 million units, a year-on-year increase of 102%. In 2023, China's automobile exports will reach 5.22 million units, an increase of 56%. From January to February 2024, China exported 830,000 vehicles, an increase of 22%, of which 710,000 Chinese brand passenger cars were exported, an increase of 25%.

From January to February 2024, China's automobile exports were US$15.7 billion, with an export growth rate of 12.6%. The average automobile export price in January-February 2024 was US$19,000, which was basically the same as the US$19,000 in 2023.

From January to February 2024, 285,000 new energy vehicles were exported, a year-on-year increase of 11%; of which 280,000 new energy passenger vehicles were exported, a year-on-year increase of 13%, accounting for 97% of new energy vehicle exports.
