Zhitong Finance learned that CINNO Research chief analyst Zhou Hua Charley said that according to CINNO Research statistics, China's new energy passenger vehicle wholesale sales in 2023 will be approximately 8.86 million units, a year-on-year increase of 36%, and the penetration rate will increase by 7 percentage points year-on-year. 34.7%; the number of central control CIDs and electronic instrument panels installed in China's new energy passenger vehicles increased to approximately 8.5 million and 6.78 million respectively, with year-on-year growth rates of +45% and +34% respectively. It is expected that China's new energy passenger vehicle sales will increase by 24% year-on-year to approximately 11 million units in 2024, exceeding the "10 million" level, and the penetration rate is expected to increase to 40%.
In 2023, BYD, Tesla China and Geely Automobile will rank among the top three in terms of wholesale sales of new energy passenger vehicles in China, accounting for 50% of the total sales of new energy passenger vehicles in China; ranking fourth to tenth respectively are GAC Eon, SAIC-GM-Wuling, Changan Automobile, Li Auto, SAIC Passenger Cars, Great Wall and NIO. Except for SAIC-GM-Wuling, the sales of other manufacturers all increased year-on-year. Sales of new energy vehicles from the top 10 manufacturers accounted for 78%.
